Community Involvement
Crescent Real Estate Equities recognizes the importance of promoting healthy communities in which to live and work.
The heart of Crescent’s commitment to the community is FACES of Change® a unique adopt-a-school program Crescent began in 1997. Through this program, Crescent properties are partnered with local elementary schools that serve at-risk students and families. FACES of Change partnerships bring Crescent employees, customers, and business partners together to provide volunteer time, financial and in-kind gifts to partner schools. Since its inception, FACES of Change has established more than 61 successful business-to-school partnerships that have impacted the lives of over 30,000 children nationwide.
The Crescent is a proud participant of the FACES of Change program and will be entering a new three year partnership with City Park Elementary School which is located south of downtown Dallas next to Old City Park a Heritage Village with several historic buildings. They enroll approximately 200 students grades pre-K-5th grade with a staff of 24 teachers. They also provide after-school and Saturday school as well as an All Star program and a Homeless Education after school program to benefit the several kids that attend the school from the local homeless shelters. We hope to make a difference and provide for much of their needs during our FACES of Change Partnership also making a great impact within the school and community.
