Community Involvement

Lobby Sales
The Crescent holds a number of lobby sales with 10% of gross sales going to various organizations.

Uptown Run Benefiting Special Olympics Texas
Special Olympics is a year round sports training program that provides a lifetime of learning for people with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities. More than 23,000 Special Olympians train and compete in 18 sports. Through their involvement, athletes enhance their social and adaptive skills, build positive self-esteem, demonstrate courage and experience joy. A 15-year Dallas tradition is the Uptown Run involving an estimated 6,000 plus walkers, runners and spectators. This event is one of the primary fund-raisers for Special Olympics Texas. The Crescent is a sponsor of this event and provides free parking for all participants.

Central Dallas Association
The Central Dallas Association (CDA) is a privately funded 501(c)(6) organization with over 150 member companies. CDA's mission is to promote the interests of downtown Dallas and its surrounding neighborhoods. As the leading advocate for downtown, its businesses, cultural resources, educational institutions, residents, employees, visitors and entertainment activities, CDA works to create a thriving 24-hour urban center. For many years, The Crescent has been a member of CDA.

Uptown Dallas Association, Inc.
The Uptown Dallas Association (UDA) is a group of merchants that office and/or do business in the uptown area of Dallas. The Crescent has been a member for many years. The UDA serves as a networking and marketing group that promotes uptown area business.
