THE CRESCENT® ANNOUNCES MONTHLY FARMERS MARKET AT THE CRESCENT
Crescent Court Farmers Market brings locally sourced produce, artisanal foods, and hand-crafted items to Uptown
DALLAS (October 21, 2016) – Crescent Property Services LLC today announced the start of a monthly farmers market at its iconic Uptown property, The Crescent, to continue its initiative to enhance Uptown’s growing, pedestrian-friendly environment. The Crescent Court Farmers Market Grand Opening is open to the public and scheduled for Saturday, October 29, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in The Crescent Court and along Cedar Springs. Subsequent markets are scheduled for the first Saturday of each month, beginning November 5.
The Crescent Court Farmers Market Grand Opening will have vendors offering locally sourced produce, artisanal foods and hand-crafted items exclusive to the market. Each market will offer a seasonal feature. To celebrate the harvest season, the grand opening will feature a pumpkin patch sponsored by Rubial’s along with an onsite photographer. Live music performed by Blake Burrow is scheduled from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Underground parking for the farmers market is free during market hours. To accommodate the Del Frisco’s 5K Walk/Run street closures on October 29, all cars should enter the parking garage using the Maple Avenue entrance.

On the second Thursday evening of each month, The Crescent also will host another event called Around the Court. Each evening in this series of outdoor gatherings in The Crescent Court features a different planned event such as live music, movie nights, art walks and yoga, as well as happy hour specials coordinated with The Crescent Court restaurants. The Crescent Court Farmers Market and Around the Court are the latest initiatives as part of The Crescent Vision to open the iconic office towers, adjacent hotel, retail and entertainment amenities as a gathering space for the vibrant and growing Uptown community. Crescent recently completed $33 million in renovations to the 11-acre complex, including a new storefront for retail outlet, Stanley Korshak, plus larger, more enticing window displays with revolving, eye-catching merchandise showcased against white-box backdrops. The former motor court – located between the office buildings, the Hotel Crescent Court and entertainment spaces – is gone. The curbs and the Stonehenge-like gate structure that dominated the center have been removed. In their place are pavers and stained concrete and high-rise live oak and river birch trees planted to create a European-inspired “retail piazza” featuring a tree-lined drive and pedestrian walkway. The Vision also has added to the Uptown offerings of restaurants with Dallas-originated coffee house and wine bar, Ascension; the critically acclaimed burger restaurant, Shake Shack; and soon, Moxie’s Grill & Bar, an upscale premium casual restaurant.
